শুধু SSC/HSC নয় BCS সহ বিভিন্ন চাকরি পরীক্ষায় Changing sentence হতে পরীক্ষায় প্রশ্ন আসে। Changing sentence এর গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একটি অংশ হলো assertive to exclamatory । Assertive to Interrogative, Conversion of sentence এর অন্তর্গত। এক প্রকার sentence কে অন্যপ্রকার sentence এ রূপান্তর করাকে Conversion of sentence বলে। Transformation of sentence এ অর্থের পরিবর্তন না হলেও Conversion of sentence এ অর্থের পরিবর্তন হয়। নিচে Assertive to exclamatory rules in bangla দেওয়া হয়েছে।

1. বাক্যে 'I wish' থাকলে 'I wish' এর পরিবর্তে 'If' বসিয়ে exclamatory করতে হয় এবং বাক্যের শেষে আশ্চর্যবোধক চিহ্ন (!) দিতে হয়। যেমন:
Assertive: I wish I were a king.
Exclamatory: If
I were a king!
2. বাক্যের মধ্যে very/great থাকলে এদের পরিবর্তে What a/an অথবা How বসিয়ে বাক্য শুরু করতে হয়। এক্ষেত্রে বাক্যের মধ্যে যদি 'a/an' থাকে তাহলে What বসে আর যদি 'a/an' না থাকে তাহলে How বসে। এক্ষেত্রে exclamatory sentence এর structure হবে নিম্নরূপ:
প্রথমে What (a/an)/How + প্রদত্ত বাক্যের adjective + subject + verb + বাকী অংশ (যদি থাকে) + বিস্ময় সূচক চিহ্ন (!) যেমন:
Assertive: The city
is very crowded.
Exclamatory:
How crowded the city is!
Assertive: She is a
great author.
Exclamatory: What an
author she is!

3. had যুক্ত assertive কে exclamatory করার নিয়ম:
প্রদত্ত assertive sentence এর প্রথম থেকে wish বাদ যায় + Had + Subject +প্রদত্ত বাক্যের বাকি অংশ + ! যেমন:
Assertive: I wish I
had been a king.
Exclamatory: Had I
been a king!
Exclamatory to assertive
1. প্রদত্ত exclamatory sentence এর subject বসে + verb বসে + a/an বসে ( যদি থাকে ) + very/great বসে + adjective + প্রদত্ত sentence এর বাকী অংশ + Full stop (.) বসে। যেমন:
Exclamatory: How fine
the bird is!
Assertive: The bird
is very fine.
Exclamatory: What a
fine flower it was!
Assertive: It was a
very fine flower.
2. If দ্বারা শুরু হওয়া exclamatory sentence টিকে assertive করতে হলে if এর পরিবর্তে I wish বসে + sentence এর বাকী অংশ বসে। যেমন:
Exclamatory: If I
were a king!
Assertive: I wish I
were a king.
3. Hurrah যুক্ত অর্থ্যাৎ যে sentence দ্বারা খুশি প্রকাশ করা হয় সে ক্ষেত্রে Hurrah এর পরিবর্তে It is matter of joy + that + sentence এর বাকি অংশ বসে। যেমন:
Exclamatory: Hurrah!
We have won a lottery.
Assertive: It is
matter of joy that we have won a lottery.
4. Alas যুক্ত অর্থ্যাৎ যে sentence দ্বারা দুঃখ প্রকাশ করা হয় সে ক্ষেত্রে Alas এর পরিবর্তে It is matter of sorrow + that + sentence এর বাকি অংশ বসে। যেমন:
Exclamatory: Alas!
The boy died early.
Assertive: It is
matter of sorrow that the boy died early.
একই ভাবে বিস্ময় বোঝালে
surprise, লজ্জা বোঝালে shame ইত্যাদি হয়।
Transform the following sentence from Assertive to Exclamatory.
